Facebook and Nokia May Sign Deal

The new trend of social networks looking to beyond the purview of marketing deals and establishing partnerships with cell phone and other mobile technology developing companies continues.

Facebook is the latest of the social networking sites that is looking to, according to the Wall Street Journal, produce significant income through its mobile services. Based on the agreement, parts of Facebook will be implanted into Nokia handsets. At present, no details on which parts exactly will be implanted are available. Same is the case when it comes to the selection of phones and money.

Another question is that will Nokia actually agree to a deal with Facebook or build a social networking site itself. There are also question marks regarding the data that will be shared by Facebook. One result of this is that Nokia is in a bit of discomfort about the fact that Facebook will get to know too much about Nokia’s clients and hence is doing all it can to thwart the whole thing.

Facebook has been showing its clear and complete commitment towards the deal by making it clear that it is fully dedicated to working with and initiate relationships with mobile operators and handset developers from all over the world. It is not yet clear if such a deal between Nokia and Facebook will come through.
