I 'Dislike' it

The infamous ‘dislike’ button is in fact real now.dislike

According to reports via a certain Firefox add-on, the Facebook dislike button does exist legally. It is supposedly in the pipeline to appear on the Internet Explorer version too. The official Facebook ‘Dislike’ button, which was introduced by FaceMod caters to the obvious – an option to dislike any particular post on the social networking site.

So now if you have an unfavorable post or status from any of your Facebook friends on your wall saying something like, “I just had a rough day at work”, you could might as well click on to the ‘Dislike’ button to showcase your sympathy as opposed to liking it.

However, there is a clause to it. Only those that have disliked that very post will be able to view your act. That does sound unfair but once, Facebook users on Internet Explorer browsers get into it; the scenario could be different. Browsers like Google Chrome and Safari are in the running for this option at the moment.

Although this long-awaited move seems interesting, the only question that irks me is, will users prefer such a method to a ‘Dislike’ button or welcome it with open arms?
