Yahoo’s Web Analytics Better Than Google’s

According to a new report, Yahoo is supposedly ahead of Google in an extremely significant sector. The search engine giant, however, will not be able to release it to the users across the world.
According to CMS Watch, Yahoo Web Analytics are supposed to be much better than what Google has, in more ways than one. Some of the findings of the assessment are that with Yahoo, there are better access control options and the approach to multi-site analytics is easier. The default monthly page view limits are also higher than Google (200MM vs. 5MM).

When it comes to having access to traffic data, both the companies have the right to acquire and utilise web analytics data from users for their own intentions. However, it is only Yahoo that provides users the capability to export their data in a raw and un-aggregated format. Raw data is stored for a longer time in history.

However, despite the wonderful, above mentioned features, users visiting the site will come across a link that says ‘Sign up here to receive updates.’ This link is actually a form. There is no provision for setting up an account. It was nearly ten months ago that Yahoo completed the acquisition of IndexTools. That’s a long enough time period to introduce small alterations in what is already a wonderful analytics package and release it.
