Now Insert Location to Gmail Sign

The Gmail team recently released a super cool feature for Gmail. Users will be able to insert their location to their signature at the time when they actually send the email. Google uses the IP detection technique to do this.
Half the people have given their approval to the service; while, the remaining thoroughly disapprove of it. According to Marco Bonechi, Gmail Software Engineer and writer of the script stated that this is a great solution for people who are constantly on the move. This service will be useful for sales personnel who are sending replies to mails from all over the world.

The service can become a good indicator of the size of the business. It will be interesting to see how users actually make use of this facility. Users need to follow three easy steps to display their location with their signature. They need to go to the Settings menu and click on the ‘Labs in Your Gmail Account.’ Then select ‘Find Location in Signature,’ click on ‘Enable’ and save the changes made to the settings.

Users also have the option ‘Append your location to the signature.’ This can be accessed from the Settings menu and clicking on General. If users think that the location displayed is not accurate, they can solve the problem by getting hold of the latest version of Google Gears.
