Microsoft and Yahoo Take on the ‘Schumacher’ of the Internet
Google has been relentlessly dominating the internet battleground for years now. Unfazed by its rivals, Google has been in smooth operation.
Google is equipped with all the necessary gear in order for its search engines to track down all the top-notch websites relating to numerous areas of purpose. This is why companies worldwide can access any information regarding web optimization, search engine optimization, company profiling, internet marketing and much more. Google has been on top of the food chain and unmatched.
Recently, Microsoft and Yahoo struck a deal to put their heads together. As stated by the terms, Yahoo search engines would be energized by Microsoft Bing. Through this, search and locate advertising would be promoted by Yahoo. They would join two small also-rans into one large also-ran. These advertisements by Yahoo would be in the interest of both companies. A major plus point here, lies in the fact that by drastically cutting down on advertisement costs, they would up their revenue and sales.
Although the Microsoft-Yahoo deal would bring in fortunes for the two companies, they would still not stand a chance against Google. Needless to say, Google is in a league of its own. They may increase and expand comparatively to the past, but would not be able to pierce through Google’s internet market share.
The only posing threat to Google is the federal regulators. They have kept tabs on Google’s anti-competitive actions. Now, as Google would have to cease their anti-competitive actions, they would have competitors, so to speak.
But the Microsoft-Yahoo deal acts as a win-win situation. Both companies would increase their revenues and Google would get a ‘safe’ ticket by the federal government.
