Making Maps Becomes Easy with Google Map Maker
We have grown up going through various already existing maps such as local maps, country maps, and world maps, but never got a chance to make one easily. But, that was past. At present, it is possible to build maps in Vietnam, Cyprus, Pakistan, Iceland and the Caribbean nations of; Barbados, Antigua & Barbuda, Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Netherlands Antilles, British Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Grenada, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines. The prevailing mapping data for these nations would tremendously benefit from local awareness and know-how that users as well as other map maker possess.
The product is a labor of love by several Bangalore-based engineers who desire to see the world mapped. Also, Google has showcased before and after images from the Mapplet, which is formed to support relief efforts in Myanmar that Map Maker created.
