Facebook Updates Search Service
Just when you were under the impression that Facebook has finished with its constant updates, they go a step ahead.
The social networking giant has now reflected on ways to improvise the current search facilities on the site by taking it to the next stage. The objective here is to lead visitors directly to profiles, groups, events and other pages without putting in a query of sorts. Astonishing isn’t it?
The previous auto-suggest facility on Facebook showcased the available possible options to pick from, be it – friend, event, application etc. The new enhancement will see a wider interface with a broader scope of recommendations as per the popularity of the network.
Similar services presently active on Facebook are mutual friend suggestions, viewing existing friends who are part of groups or fan pages etc. The purpose of such suggestions is to lead users to their destination on the site a lot quicker.
This facility is currently in the pipeline and would unfold in due time. We will have to wait and see if the upcoming feature will create a desirable impact.
