Having a local TLD provides the advantage of displaying your website as a local web page. However, if you are targeting you business on a global scale, then use the TLD as ‘.com’.
  • Avoid the usage of words that are difficult to spell or pronounce. Also, avoid words are spelled differently in different countries. For example, it’s ‘Favorite’ in USA and ‘Favourite’ in UK. ‘favourite.com’ is not the same as ‘favorite.com’.
  • Crosscheck whether your domain name is a brand name or trademark of another company or not. This check is absolutely necessary, as identical names may lead to legal problems. Also try to create an original domain name. Do not derive the name from an existing domain name. This will make your brand or service unique and will stand out from other competing brands
